Parliament and Phantom

Today was quite the full day. On Fridays we usually have class in the morning, but today we had a change of plans. We went to Westminster Palace or the Parliament building. It was so cool. I think I liked it better than Westminster Abbey. I was so intrigued by the UK's government system. I am a little confused on how it works, but I am going to read up on it.
This is the only thing that I could take a picture of. It's the original Westminster Hall. They have many banquets, trials and important people come to speak here. It is very old and the architecture is very impressive. We then toured the building and went into the chambers of the House of Commons and House of Lords. We went into other chambers as well. I learned what the Queen does in Parliament, and it isn't very much. She starts the session each summer and in order for a bill to be a law she has to approve. But other than that, she doesn't do a whole lot.
Prince Albert was the one who helped design the building and was in charge of the decor of the building. It was a very impressive building and I encourage anyone who comes to go see that. Our tour guide was amazing and it was cool because as he was going through the history I already knew most of the history. Props for studying in London!
Then we had a break before classes started and I got a much needed nap in. It felt so amazing. Then we had dinner and then I went with a couple of girls to go see Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre.
It was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was. The play was made for Her Majesty's Theatre, but inspired by the Opera house in Paris. It's cool that I was able to go to both.
 Brooke and I.
I feel cultured, to say the least, that I have been to so many plays and Broadway shows. London is famous for its plays and I am so glad that I spent the money to go to a few of them.

Picadilly Circus at night.

Cheers!
